With over 20 years experience as an interior designer and teacher at
Algonquin College, Elaine Comeau has gained a wealth of expertise in
colour and innovative drawing concepts. She has taught courses in
colour theory, basic drawing techniques, perspective drawing and
colour rendering. Her background also covers the fine arts with both
self taught methods and courses taken at the Ottawa School of Art in
many different disciplines ranging from coloured pencil, pastels,
ink, oriental painting, watercolour and oil painting. Elaine has also
taught at a local art school and gives private and semi-private art
lessons.
Elaine started as a volunteer at her daughter's school teaching the
kids how to draw and paint. This was so successful that she was
hired as a part time art teacher by the school. This lead to trying
out summer art camps for kids in 2008. The art camps were a great
success with parents asking if we can do this again this summer.
Starting in September 2009 regular art classes will be scheduled for
kids, teens, adults and portfolio development.
